Exploring Cooperative Intelligence in a Networked Robotic System

چکیده
We discuss the use of agents and qualitative representations in networked robotic systems and describe cooperation between agents as a means of realizing functionality. We present this approach as an alternative to quantitative techniques. We describe our networked robotic system and show how agents can be constructed in that system. We discuss an example teleoperation task, where agent cooperation and qualitative representations are used to track a manipulator with a camera.

Modelling and Compensation of uncertain time-delays in networked control systems with plant uncertainty using an Improved RMPC Method
Control systems with digital communication between sensors, controllers and actuators are called as Networked Control Systems (NCSs). In general, NCSs encounter with some problems such as packet dropouts and network induced delays. When plant uncertainty is added to the aforementioned problems, the design of the robust controller that is able to guarantee the stability, becomes more complex. In...
متن کاملSession Overview Networked Robotics
Robot systems with network capability is a promising frontier of robotics not only to realize new services by combining multiple RT(robot technology) and IT(information technology) components but also to know the human worlds and natural environments. This program session covers networked sensing/actuation, networked intelligence and networked control of robot systems. The presented paper of " ...
متن کاملSelf-organised Distribution of Tasks inside a Networked Robotic System
For several years, mobile multi-robot systems are a main focus in robotic research. The possibilities to carry out demanding algorithms in a networked robotic system grow as computational resources used by those robots become more and more powerful and inexpensive. One major question is how to distribute the necessary algorithms and tasks to the available computers so that all requirements are ...
متن کاملThe Optimal Power Flow of Multiple Energy Carriers in Networked Multi-Carrier Microgrid
The future distribution network comprising different energy carriers will include small-scale energy resources (SSERs) and loads, known as a Networked multi-carrier microgrid (NMCMG). This concept not only leads to an efficient reduction in operation costs, but also encompasses the energy transformation between gas and electric networks at combined nodes, as well as district heating networks. I...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Overview and Characterization of Wireless Channels for Networked Robotic and Control Systems
The goal of this overview paper is to serve as a reference for researchers that are interested in the realistic modeling of wireless channels for the purpose of analysis and optimization of networked robotic systems. By utilizing the knowledge available in the wireless communication literature, we first summarize a probabilistic framework for the characterization of the underlying multiscale dy...
